Terms and Conditions for Monthly Gym Membership

  1. Membership Cancellation:

    • Members may cancel their gym membership at any time.
    • A written notice of 30 days is required for all cancellations. This notice must be provided in writing to the gym’s administration.
  2. Direct Debit Payments:

    • All membership fees are collected via Direct Debit.
    • To ensure the Direct Debit is not processed for the following month, members must cancel the Direct Debit at least 5 days before the next payment is due.
    • Failure to cancel the Direct Debit within the specified timeframe will result in the payment being processed for the following month.
  3. Failure to Adhere to Cancellation Process:

    • Members who do not adhere to the correct cancellation process, including the 30-day notice period and timely cancellation of Direct Debit, will have the overdue membership fees deducted from their account automatically.
    • It is the responsibility of the member to ensure all cancellation procedures are followed to avoid any automatic deductions.

    Gym Facility Etiquette Terms and Conditions

    1. Respectful Behavior:

      • Members must always exhibit respectful behavior towards other members and staff.
      • Discriminatory, abusive, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of membership.
    2. Equipment Use:

      • Members must use equipment as intended and follow all posted instructions and guidelines.
      • Equipment must be wiped down after use with the provided cleaning supplies.
      • Members should return weights and other equipment to their designated places after use.
    3. Personal Hygiene:

      • Members must maintain personal hygiene to ensure a comfortable environment for all.
      • Appropriate gym attire, including clean workout clothes and closed-toe athletic shoes, is required at all times.
    4. Facility Cleanliness:

      • Members should dispose of trash and personal items in designated receptacles.
      • No food is allowed in workout areas. Only water and sports drinks in sealed, spill-proof containers are permitted.
    5. Locker Rooms and Showers:

      • Members should use lockers to store personal belongings and must lock their belongings to prevent theft.
      • Members should limit their time in the showers and locker rooms during peak times to allow access for others.
    6. Class Participation:

      • Members should arrive on time for scheduled classes and inform the instructor if they need to leave early.
      • Members must follow the instructor's guidance and respect the space and equipment used during classes.
    7. Personal Belongings:

      • The gym is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Members should keep valuables at home or secured in lockers.
      • Bags and personal items should not be left on the gym floor or in common areas.
    8. Use of Mobile Devices:

      • Mobile phone use is permitted but please be mindful of posting content online that has other people in the background, without their consent. Calls should be taken outside workout areas to avoid disturbing others.
      • Photography and video recording are prohibited in all areas of the gym without prior approval from management.
    9. Guest Policy:

      • Members may bring guests only if the gym offers a guest policy and the guest has signed a waiver.
      • Members are responsible for ensuring their guests adhere to all gym rules and etiquette.
    10. Injury and Health Issues:

      • Members should immediately report any injuries or health issues to staff.
      • Members are encouraged to consult with their healthcare provider before beginning any new fitness program.

      Annual Membership Price Increase Terms and Conditions

      1. Annual Review:

        • The gym reserves the right to review and adjust membership prices on an annual basis.
        • Any price adjustments will be communicated to members at least 30 days in advance.
      2. Notification:

        • Members will be notified of any price increase via email, posted notices within the facility, or through the gym's official communication channels.
        • It is the member's responsibility to ensure their contact information is up-to-date to receive these notifications.
      3. Effective Date:

        • The new membership rates will take effect on the anniversary date of the member’s current annual membership.
        • Members will be charged the new rate at their next billing cycle following the effective date.
      4. Continued Membership:

        • By continuing to use the gym facilities after the price increase takes effect, members accept the new membership rates.
        • If a member does not agree to the new rates, they must cancel their membership in accordance with the gym's cancellation policy before the new rates take effect.
      5. Payment Adjustments:

        • Members on automatic payment plans (e.g., Direct Debit) will have their payment details updated to reflect the new membership rates.
        • Members are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available to cover the new membership fees.
      6. Pro-Rated Adjustments:

        • If the price increase occurs partway through a billing cycle, a pro-rated adjustment may be applied to the member's next bill.
        • The pro-rated amount will reflect the difference between the old and new rates for the remaining period of the current billing cycle.
      7. Discounts and Promotions:

        • Any discounts or promotional rates previously applied to a member's account may be subject to change with the new pricing.
        • Members will be informed if their discounted rate or promotion will be affected by the price increase.
      8. Special Circumstances:

        • In cases of significant price changes, the gym may offer options for members to renew their membership early at the current rate.
        • Any special circumstances or offers will be communicated clearly to members.

      By using the gym facilities, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.
